Access Startup Items In Windows 8

In all versions of Windows previous to Windows 8 the preferred method of editing items that were run at system startup was to use the clunky and hidden MSConfig utility.
With Windows 8, Microsoft have now moved this feature to a more sensible place, the Task Manager.
  • To Access the Startup items, simply press ctrl+alt+del and bring up the Task Manager.
  • If necessary, click the ‘More details’ option at the bottom of the dialog to reveal the tabs.
  • Click the Startup tab to view your startup items, where you can enable or disable them as required.
