In another tutorial we showed you how to set up the ‘Autosave’ feature of Word 2010, so that should disaster strike you won’t lose too much work. Now we will show you how to recover those documents.
- Activate the ‘File’ tab.
- Click ‘Recent’
- You will see a list of recent documents in the right hand panel, if your document isn’t listed here click the ‘Recover Unsaved Documents’ option at the bottom of the screen.
- In the displayed dialog you will see a lost of documents that have been saved using the Autosave feature.
- Simply select the document you wish to recover and click ‘OK’ to open it.
