Firefox Keyboard Shortcuts

Like all modern Windows based programs, Mozillas Firefox has a wide range of shortcut keys that can make using it a lot quicker and easier. There are quite a few here, and we wouldn’t expect anyone to remember them all, however just remembering a few of the ones you make use of frequently will greatly improve your productivity.

 

[F5] – Reload the current page.

[F6] – Move to the next frame

[Esc] – Stop loading the current page.

[Delete] – Delete the selected text.

[Backspace] – Back to the last page viewed.

[End] – Scroll to the end of the current web page.

[Home] – Scroll to the start of the current page.

[Shft]+[Backspace] – Forward to the next page.

[Shft]+[F6] – Move to the previous frame.

[Alt]+F4 – Close the current browser Window.

[Alt]+[Left Arrow] – Back to the last page viewed.

[Alt]+Right Arrow] – Forward to the next page.

[Alt]+[Home] – Load the Home page.

[Ctrl]+A – Select all text / objects on a page.

[Ctrl]+C – Copy selected text / objects to the clipboard.

[Ctrl]+F – Open the ‘Find on this page’ dialog.

[Ctrl+G – Repeat the the last ‘Find on this page’ search.

[Ctrl]+H – Open the History seidebar.

[Ctrl]+N – Open a new browsing window.

[Ctrl]+O – Open a file.

[Ctrl]+P – Print the current page.

[Ctrl]+R – Reload the current page.

[Ctrl]+S – Open the ‘Save Page As’ dialog.

[Ctrl]+T – Open a new tab.

[Ctrl]+V – Paste the contents of the clipboard.

[Ctrl]+X – Cut the selected text to the clipboard.

[Ctrl]+Y – Redo the last action.

[Ctrl]+Z – Undo the last action.

[Ctrl]+[Numbers 1 to 8] – Open the correspondingly numbered tab.

[Ctrl]+9 – Open the last tab.

[Ctrl]+[Plus Sign] – Zoom in

[Ctrl]+[Minus Sign] – Zoom out

[Ctrl]+[Zero] – Reset Zoom

[Ctrl]+[Shft]+R – Reload the current page ignoring the contents of the cache.

[Ctrl]+[F4] – Close the current tab.

[Ctrl]+[F5] – Reload the current page ignoring the contents of the cache.

[Ctrl]+[Right Arrow] -Move the current tab right in the tabs list.

[Ctrl]+[Left Arrow] -Move the current tab left in the tabs list.

[Ctrl]+[Home] – Move the current tab to the start of the tab list.

[Ctrl]+[End] – Move the current tab to the end of the list.
